About Us

The word Kankakee conjures visions of duck filled skies in the minds of waterfowl hunters who know about the historic Indiana region of the Mississippi Flyway–and especially for the few who have been fortunate enough to hunt there. It is one of the great names in North American waterfowl history. In the mid 20th Century the area was known as the “Everglades of the North” as well as Chicago’s “Pantry”.

This hunt club is in Northern Indiana (Starke and LaPorte counties) the Kankakee Marsh Hunt club is in the middle of the Mississippi fly way.

Back in the early 1900’s, hunters came from all states and many other countries to experience the hunting in the famous Grand Kankakee Marsh. The abundance of game and waterfowl are legendary. In the center of this legendary hunting area is the Kankakee Marsh Hunt Club.

With 700 acres of flooded corn the property attracts thousands of waterfowl. They are also adjacent to the historical 6000 acre Indiana Kankakee Fish and Wildlife Area.

The club includes approximately 30 full time members. There is always a waiting list for membership as there is very little turn over.
