Hunt Club Rules and Regulations

All the hunt clubs in the state of Hawaii make sure the hunting is carried in each season under the rules and regulations set and approved by the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources and any other regulations or safety standards set by the private land owners and organizations. In order to get the hunting license and join a hunt club in Hawaii, for all the Hunters born after 31 Dec, 1971, a completion of hunting course approved by Hawaii DLNR and IHEA-USA is mandatory. The prohibited hunting of game mammals on each island are listed. Selection of Hunters is carried through random drawing and telephone reservations by different hunt clubs. Nuisance and crop damage is prohibited during hunting. Brush-tailed rock wallaby and Wild Cattle are also prohibited to hunt. No person shall possess or discharge any firearm within any public hunting area without having a valid Hawaii State hunting license in their possession and also once the bag limit is reached.

Types of Hunting Clubs
