644 Acres with Corrals, Barn, Electricity, Pond, Hunting Game in Wilbarger County, Electra, Texas

The 643 +/- acre Wright Family Ranch is located in eastern Wilbarger County, TX, just a few miles from the town of Electra and approximately 1/3 of a mile south of Highway 287. With roughly 80% in native pasture and 20% in cultivation, it the perfect mix for hunting. The ranch joins the historic 535,000 acre Waggoner Ranch along its whole south side; with no hunting pressure on the north, east, or south sides, and management minded neighbors on the west, the Wright Family Ranch is perfect for growing monster bucks! HUNTING: This ranch joins the northern Grayback Pasture of the famed 535,000 acre Waggoner Ranch for a full mile along its south side.  The Grayback Pasture is known for its big bodied deer and high wildlife numbers. The property on the east side is 1,222 acres large and is owned by Mobil Oil Corp; it is not hunted.  On the west side are 320 acre and 160 acre tracts privately owned; the south 320 acre is mostly a large wheat field, and it’s not abnormal to see 100+ deer grazing on it during the wintertime.  This 320 acres is hunted but they are trophy-only hunters.  The property to the north is 498 acres is mostly a field and has little very hunting on it too. 150″ class bucks are common here; the owner harvested a 185″ buck in 2020.  The property has five food plots on it, plus a 107 acre wheat field on its north end: 22.4 acres 8.6 acres 1.3 acres 1.2 acres 1.0 acre The food plots and field have all been sewed in wheat.  The large 22 acre plot (with the six acre watershed) and the 107 acre field are fenced off separately so you can control how cattle graze these areas.  Ten feeding stations supplement the crops; most of these stations have at least one spin feeder for corn (some have two) and a gravity feeder for protein, but a few have just a spin feeder. Lots of other game will be found here as well, including feral hog, javelina, bobcat, coyote, a few Rio Grande turkeys and bobwhite coveys! A large six acre watershed by the 22 acre plot attracts hundreds of ducks during the winter, and there’s always dove hunting in the Fall.  Sandhill crane have been seen on the ranch as well.  Nine other water tanks are scattered across the ranch, several of which were dug out in the last few years and hold water well. The ranch has 10 tower blinds, 4 box ground blinds and one duck blind! They are strategically positioned with shooting lanes, and a few are on elevated terrain to provide long views.
