Turkey tags can be purchased over the counter in the Fall and Spring. You can generally draw a private land only Bear tag every year if you apply. There are Elk here, but this area is a trophy unit and requires 3-5 preference points in order to draw. The best Elk hunting is to the East of here, in the National Forest, and is located about 15 minutes down the road. Location Colorado Springs is just 1 hour and 30 minutes to the NE of this property. Denver is located 2 hours and 30 minutes to the NE as well. Theres a Walmart and other shopping opportunities in nearby Canon City, about 30 minutes down the road.
