Two day guided on public land or go on the other side of the fence and hunt private land. The good bucks are rutty but more important they are staying in the hiding spots that they weathered each day through the season through. Pressure had dropped to almost nil during later in the season and hunts ad broken into Friday and Saturday or Sunday and Monday through the season as a norm.
We are able to go where others couldn’t, across the fence, the trick that they have used to get through up to this point. You will be guided, 2, 3 and No more than 4 hunters in a group. These hunts are 99.9% success and much higher on opportunity of course. The key is shooting; if you can shoot you will fill. We recommend being proficient at 200 yards but if at all possible practice hitting a 15x 14” target at 300 yards, then you will be ready for anything. A antelope chest is 15” by 15”.
You will be hunting Wyoming Unit 24 and if shooting is your skill this is the time to team you up against the long rangers. Most shots are about 200 yards but if you want to stretch your barrel in practical experience this is the hunt because we can provide antelope at 400 yards, are you that good of a shot. All calibers from 243 on up are required. Also optics or range finding paraphilia, decoys, and ground blinds on water holes and so on are legal. Can you dope the wind? Remember this is Wyoming they never shut down the wind machines.
Only a limited number of hunters will be accepted.
YOU MUST GET OR HAVE AN ANTELOPE LICENSE FOR UNIT 24 in Wyoming is the unit directly north west of Wright, Wyoming, and get a license now before they are all sold out.
There is some options early on for unit 5, 6 and 7 in order of preference but get with the outfitter before putting in for those units.
The area 24 draws well and usually has some leftover licenses, but not many don’t wait around or you will miss them.
Discounted Antelope, We hunt both sides of the fence, private land and if they get away onto public land we are licensed in there also. They can run but they can’t hide.
The outfitter will provide transportation - no ATV’s please.
His success rate is extremely high for rifle hunts for all species, it’s in the 90% range for muzzle loader hunts and archery hunts are lower.
With 29 years of experience he know how to get antelope that are on the private land side of the fence and he has permits so that if the go on the other side of the fence he can get them there also. No need paying for a 3 day hunt when you can fill your tag easily in two days. Also you don’t need 1 on 1 guide to hunter ratio you can bring your friends and get a 4-1 discounted rate. (Additional days can be purchased if needed and will be adjusted to the number of hunters that are left in your group that couldn’t seem to get the antelope where the bullet was going.) Hard to do when I am only guide for extra days and calendar set.
If you can find a better buy on an antelope you tell me, and I will hunt there. This is the best thing going, and if you can shoot, you can take home an antelope.
He will provide you with phone numbers for lodging closest to where you will be hunting as Gillette and Wright Wyoming so you can make reservations for yourself. Restaurants are always in the area of the lodging and taking a lunch with you is always recommended.
Camping for tents and campers are always available and the normal weather this time of year is highs of 70 and lows at 30 depending on the weather fronts.

Weather/ The weather can and will have a profound effect on your hunting sometimes in a positive manner sometimes in a negative manner. During the fall weather in Wyoming can change from 90 degrees during the day to freezing at night. Roads may be muddy and to wet to travel in the morning and dry in the same afternoon. We will hunt in bad weather, but safety and ranch road rules will be the deciding factors about leaving camp. October in Wyoming can get very cold. Bring clothes to cover the whole temperature span. Prior to your hunt go to the internet site http://www.weather.com and search Wright Wyoming. Checking out the long range forecast will help you prepare for your hunt. No extra days will be awarded or refunds given to lost hunting opportunity or season closures. Any additional cost for motels, meals, etc. under these circumstances is not the responsibility of the Hunting Lodge.
Lodging is the hunter’s responsibility. The motels in Wright or Gillette are your best options and the outfitter has some phone contacts for them and will provide them to you when you book your hunt. Lodging is not included with the hunt, but locally available the earlier you book in the year the better because this has been deemed the highest antelope density area of the state.
Hunts during the week or after the first weekend make it easier to get lodging in the area because it is well known for its antelope population.
HUNTER SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: No person born on or after January 1, 1966 for Wyoming may take any wildlife by the use of firearms, unless the person possesses and can exhibit a certificate of competency and safety in the use and handling of firearms.
