About 30 minutes south of Columbus, OH, much of the land in the region is forested, however there is not a lot of hunting in the area as the property is near two large metro parks, a county park and three nature preserves. Combined the parks and preserves account for nearly 6,000 acres of forest where hunting is not allowed or severely limited. We’re located at the end of a dead-end road. The land was select-cut logged in 2020 and early 2021, that produced open areas and woods with lots of trails. The tree tops left behind helps the whitetail herd. They love the brier tops and use the downed tops/trees for bedding. The terrain is rolling hills, making it easy to get around. When we walk through the woods, there are deer tracks everywhere. An avid hunter walking the land was impressed with the amount of buck rubs and scrapes. The land hasn’t been lived on for at least six years. We only schedule 2 hunts during deer hunting season: one archery hunt,  and one archery or gun hunt in December. Other outfitters typically schedule hunts every other week, and some outfitters schedule every two weeks. Also, we give you and your hunting party - - limited to six hunters - - exclusive use of the land on your seven-day hunt. On a parcel that’s about 160 acres, other outfitters allow 8 to 10 hunters to hunt on the land - all at the same time. And those hunters more than likely are strangers - not part of your party. We want our hunters to feel like they are hunting in their own state park with no interference from outsiders. We offer seven-day hunts during deer hunting season - for guns and archery. In the mating season and in the summer, coyote (daytime or nighttime) hunts are available. Accommodations are available off-site at our 2 bedroom apartment suite or you can book a hotel room or cabin in the area.
