About 30 minutes south of Columbus, OH, much of the land in the region is forested, however there is not a lot of hunting in the area as the property is near two large metro parks, a county park and three nature preserves. Combined the parks and preserves account for nearly 6,000 acres of forest where hunting is not allowed or severely limited. We’re located at the end of a dead-end road. The land was select-cut logged in 2020 and early 2021, that produced open areas and woods with lots of logging trails. The tree tops left behind helps the whitetail herd. The brier tops and downed tops/trees are used for bedding. The terrain is rolling hills, making it easy to get around. When you walk through the woods, there are deer tracks everywhere. And there are plenty of buck rubs and scrapes. We’re scheduling two seven-day hunts during deer season - or you can lease one or two months during deer season. The seven day hunts can be archery, gun or muzzleloader. Other outfitters typically schedule hunts every other week, and some outfitters schedule every two weeks. Your hunting party is our top priority. We limit hunting parties to six hunters and your hunting party has exclusive use of the land on your seven-day or seasonal hunt. On a parcel that’s about 160 acres, other outfitters allow 8 to 10 hunters to hunt on the land - all at the same time. And those hunters more than likely are strangers - not part of your party. We want you to feel like you are hunting on your own state park or private parcel, with no interference from outsiders. In the mating season and in the summer, coyote (daytime or nighttime) hunts are available. Accommodations are available off-site at our multi-bedroom apartment suite or you can book a hotel room or cabin in the area.
