Coosa, 32,624 Acres of Public Hunting Land for Whitetail Deer, Turkey, Dove, Quail, Duck, Predator, Exotics – Coosa, Alabama

This is a 32,624 acres wildlife area which mostly consists of forests, wetlands, and mountains. The hunters visiting this land must possess a valid hunting license and a permit. There are several wildlife species for hunting on this property including Deer, Turkey, Dove, Quail, Rabbit, Squirrel, Raccoon, Opossum, Fox, Woodcock, Waterfowl, and Feral swine. Two primitive campsites are available on Coosa WMA on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no fee for using these sites. Car parking lot is also available at this land. Moreover, hunters with disabilities can also hunt on this land in the designated areas. Lastly, teenage hunters can also hunt on this land but there must be an adult with them who possess a valid hunting license.
