It is the largest state forest in Alabama consisting of 16,093 acres. This tract provides a lot of facilities including hunting, fishing, trail riding, hiking, and primitive camping. Animals available on this land for hunting are deer, fox, bobcat, rabbit, squirrel, waterfowl, woodcock, raccoon, opossum, and furbearer (bag limits apply). Falconry is allowed with a legal permit. All trappers are required to wear hunter’s orange while trapping. The allowed weapons at this land include archery, muzzle loader, rifles, pistols, and shotguns. Fishing is also available in the 100-acre lake in this area.
