County Road, 604 Acres of Public Hunting Land for Whitetail Deer, Duck, Exotics – County Road, Mississippi

The surface of this land is covered with grasslands, aspen forest, northern hardwoods, wetlands, and restored prairie. This land provides great opportunities for hunters to hunt Deer, Rabbit and Waterfowl. Other activities that can be done on this land are cross country skiing, hiking, trapping, wildlife viewing, canoeing, and fishing. The management of Cossar State Park WMA manages this land by using prescribed fire for extra brushes of grass, by chemically and mechanically controlling wood species and by limiting grazing and haying. Moreover, a designated area is available for the hunters who are physically challenged. Underage hunters can also hunt on this land but under the supervision of some adult.
