Javelina, bear, predators, bighorn, antelope, 2000 acres surrounded by wilderness.

This area is popular with bowhunters, for deer and javelina, and the region has bighorn sheep, pronghorn antelope, black bear, mountain lion, javelina, predators and other wildlife. 

Animal tracks are abundant in the washes and streambeds on this 2,000 acre private wilderness land, surrounded on all four sides by the very remote Upper Burro creek wilderness. Access is 2 1/2 hours from las vegas, 45 minutes south of Kingman, AZ (route 66) on interstate 11/ highway 93. Road is about 14 miles south of the quaint town of Wikieup which has a motel, gas and country restaurants including the best pie in Arizona. 

The land ranges from 2000 ft. Elevation (about 3 miles from the highway) to almost 5,000 ft. Elevation (about 14 miles from the highway.)  road is improved gravel dirt and then dirt, then a 4 x 4 jeep trail.  Land is covered with saguaro and cholla cactus, agave, grasses, wildflowers, sage, and a forest of trees including sycamore, oak, madrone, Joshua trees, pine and aspen.  

It is 2 1/2 hours in either direction from las vegas, Prescott/Grand Canyon or Phoenix.

The access road is maintained gravel dirt, but beyond this point, you need to take a jeep trail, horse or all terrain vehicle to the parcel.  atv can be rented in Wikieup or Lake Havasu and horses can be rented in Wickenburg. There is also exciting horseback or atv access up a wash from the highway, which is how the cowboys and native americans originally accessed this ranch from the big sandy river—it is like a superhighway for the wildlife.  Lots of dramatic cliffs, caves, boulders, and mesas.
