Montcalm, 2,933 Acres of Public Hunting Land for Whitetail Deer, Turkey, Exotics – Montcalm, Michigan

This area encompasses 2,933 acres of land and almost 80 percent of this land is covered with forest and the rest is occupied by grassland, brushy upland, wetland, and timberland. This property is situated in Montcalm County in Michigan. This land provides a great opportunity for hunters to hunt American Woodcock, Eastern Wild Turkey, Ruffed Grouse, and White-tailed Deer. This land is properly managed by practicing periodical prescribed burning of extra brushes and grass, by mowing, harvesting timber, by applying pesticides, plantation, disking, fertilizing, and by haying. The management does not provide the restrooms facility for the hunters and no motor vehicles are allowed in the premises of land. Additionally, hunters who are of age 16 and under can also hunt on this land but under the supervision of some adult.
