The wildlife management gives an access to hunt for various game birds and animals some of them are black bear, whitetail deer, forest grouse, cavity nesters, small mammals, Rocky Mt. elk, wild turkey, mule deer, coyotes, cougar, California quail, and occasionally waterfowl. Elkhorn Wildlife Area has a dedicated campground that gives an excellent camping facility. This wildlife also provides restroom facility. A huge car parking area is present at the location, but car parking is on permit only. Fishing is also commonly known activity at the location, some of the known species available are Columbia spotted frog, interior red band trout, and bull trout.
