This wildlife area is situated at west of Eugene, Oregon. The covers an area of 5,261 acres and provides fishing and hunting opportunities at the location. The area supports waterfowl, ducks, geese, and swans. Fern Ridge Wildlife Area also offers chasing opportunity for coyote, raccoon, elf, black-tailed deer, white-crowned sparrow, ring-necked pheasant, California quail, wild turkey, great blue heron, American coot, and various other bird game species. Designated campsites are available for camping. A wide car parking area is located near the access point.
