Highland, 14,283 Acres of Public Hunting Land for Whitetail Deer, Turkey, Predator, Exotics – Highland, Virginia

14,283 acres of land is situated in a highest elevated county. To make the hunters experience convenient there are seeded roads and foot trails. Trouts are stocked under the department’s trout stocking program to provide the facility of fishing. The Highland wildlife management area offers great hunting doors for an assortment of wildlife with deer, bear and turkeys being the most abundant kinds. A fair number of squirrels, rabbits, and grouse are also available for hunting. There are three tracts out of which bull pasture Mountain is well known for white tail deer hunting, turkey hunting, and especially known for bear hunting in jack mountain.
