Caroline, 3,800 Acres of Public Hunting Land for Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer, Turkey, Dove, Duck, Exotics – Caroline, Maryland

This region is a blend of agrarian fields, upland backwoods and base land woodlands, with topography extending from flat to fairly inclined. A few territories are wet all year. Mature hardwoods, loblolly pine and Virginia pine timberland encompass a large number of the trails and support a rich assortment of untamed life species. This 3,800-acres of land Idylwild WMA is situated in southeastern Caroline County. Hunters will appreciate a day afield from home, seeking after white-tailed deer, turkey, dove, cottontail rabbits, woodcock, squirrels and waterfowl. Roads and trails will promise a day’s adventure and exploration for hikers and all-terrain bicyclists. Camping is disallowed in this area. Great fishing can be found in lakes on the north end of the land. Dove hunting is restricted to certain days and shooting hours.
