Huron, 7,695 Acres of Public Hunting Land for Turkey, Exotics – Huron, Michigan

This hunting land is situated in Huron County and is consisting of 7,695 acres. The species that can be hunt on this land are Mallard, Eastern Wild Turkey, American Bittern, and Ring-necked Pheasant. The surface of this land is consisting of forest, wetland, timberland, and brushy upland. Hunters who are of age 16 and under are also allowed to hunt on this land but they must be monitored by some adult who has a valid hunting license. This land is managed properly with the help of regular mowing, plants cultivation, prescribed burning of extra brushes, by applying herbicides, by bulldozing, disking, and by seeding. Hunters are not allowed to camp on this site and also prohibited to bring any kind of alcoholic drinks. Also, no cars are allowed beyond the parking lot.
