This Fish and Wildlife Area is dedicated to providing some of the best hunting and fishing opportunities which includes 1,200 acres of open water, marshes and flooded crop land. Willow Slough WMA provides primitive camping on a first-come, first-served basis. Traveling from the north, take U.S. 41 south, continue south past 100-N to 114 also known as 400-S. Turn right (west) onto 400-S and continue for 5 miles. Turn right (north) onto 700-W, aka State Line Road. (If you have entered Illinois you have gone too far.) Continue 2 miles and the entrance is on the right. Traveling from the south, take U.S. 41 north and turn left (west) at 114, aka 400-S, and continue for 5 miles. Turn right (north) onto 700-W, aka State Line Road. (If you have entered Illinois you have gone too far.) Continue 2 miles and the entrance is on the right.
