The oak forests, crop and fallow fields, small pine plantations, brushy edges, and small shallow wetlands of Winamac Fish & Wildlife Area provide excellent opportunities for hiking, site seeing, bird watching, berry picking, nut gathering and mushroom hunting. Camping and swimming are not allowed at the land. Hunters are required to obey the instructions which are mentioned on the sign boards at the land.
