Mackinaw, 1,428 Acres of Public Hunting Land for Whitetail Deer, Turkey, Dove, Exotics – Mackinaw, Illinois

This area encompasses 1,428 acres of land which is dominated with two miles of Mackinaw River frontside. This land is located in Mackinaw county of Illinois state. One third of this land is covered with timber and the rest is open meadow. It also includes agriculture fields and two ponds. The hunting species available on Mackinaw River WMA are: squirrel, dove, deer, turkey, rabbit, quail, pheasant, and furbearers. Camping is not allowed at this property. Any kind of alcoholic beverages are not allowed during hunting on this area. Moreover, horse riding is also restricted on this land. Lastly, fishing is allowed at this land.
