Massac, 2,625 Acres of Public Hunting Land for Whitetail Deer, Turkey, Dove, Duck, Exotics – Massac, Illinois

This area encompass 2,625 - acres of land. Most of its surface is flat and there is a drainage canal that is going through this hunting land. There is also a large reservoir that is used to store water and then fish is stocked in it. This tract is covered with timber and other croplands. The hunting species available on Mermet Lake WMA are: deer, wild turkey, rabbit, quail, squirrel, dove and waterfowl. Permitted weapons on this land are: muzzle loader, rifles, shotguns, and archery. This land can be easily accessed by going through west of mermet on route 45, in Massac county. Lastly, overnight camping is not allowed at this property.
