In Georgia more than 630,000 hunters get a hunting license every year and hunt on public hunting lands. Almost 104 wildlife management areas are there in Georgia which are under the possession of Georgia Department of Wildlife and fishing and that is only 10% of the total hunting lands in this state. Animals that can be hunted in this state are Deer, Bear, Alligator, Dove, Waterfowl, and Turkey. As compared to other states Georgia is the one in which almost every resident has public hunting lands near to their residence.
