“This posting complies with the Wyatt Ranches’ Board of Directors instructions that ALL available recreational leases be posted for at least thirty (30) days to allow others not familiar with the Ranches to participate in outdoor recreational and sporting opportunities in South and West Texas.”
Wyatt Ranches is offering two of our ranches for lease, situated at our El Ramadero Division, for a recreational, year round, hunting lease. The two ranches for lease total 4,400 acres in size. La Gitana Ranch is located in Starr County on FM 2868 near Santa Elena, and the El Ramadero del Rey Pastures is located near US Highway 281 in San Manuel. The lease includes the four bedroom, four bath Hacienda La Gitana, complete with putting green, artificial turfgrass, firepit, and countless mounts of trophy exotics on display in the structure. There is also a storage and shop structure for the tenant to store recreational vehicles and to field dress harvested game. The structure is also equipped with a functioning game cooler in good order and an air-conditioned shop. Use of the infinity swimming pool and pool cabanas at the nearby Hacienda Ramadero may also be arranged at no charge when the said structure is not occupied. South Texas game species at the two ranches include Whitetail deer, feral hogs, Javelina, quail, dove, turkey, bobcats and coyotes. In addition, there are a variety of exotics offered at this lease, such as Nilgai, Red Stagg, and Impalas. Also, Zebra, Gemsbok, and Black Buck inhabit the acreage; however, the Administrator must approve any harvest of these three additional species. The El Ramadero Division is mostly situated in what is referred as the “rolling hill country of deep South Texas,” creating a series of creek beds or arroyos. Because these areas accumulate runoff, they form isolated strips of dense, tall brush and lush vegetation that sharply contrast with the surrounding arid brush country. These arroyos are called “Ramaderos,” thus the name of this division. A mixture of brush species, such as Acacia, Black Brush, Guajillo, Guayacan, Granjeno, and mature Mesquite, all high in protein, are found in abundance; along with additional cover of Huisatche and Cenizo. The pastures are filled with a variety of Buffelgrass, Blue Stem, Trichloris, along with other natives grasses. The perimeters of both ranches are surrounded by game-proof fencing. Access to both ranches are through automated (telephone and CCTV controlled) access gates on Farm to Market Road 2686 in Starr County and on Chapa Road in Hidalgo County. The price for this recreational lease has been set firmly by the Board of Directors at $200,000 per year.
