Putnam, 7,061 Acres of Public Hunting Land for Whitetail Deer, Turkey, Exotics – Putnam, West Virginia

This 7,061-acre land is forested with young oak and hickory. This tract contains mainly low ridges and small valleys that descend toward bottomland along the Kanawha River. Principal game available at Amherst-Plymouth WMA include deer, grouse, squirrel, rabbit, raccoon, turkey and many other species. This land is located in central Putnam County near Poca, WV. This land can be accessed easily by following highway WV-62. Lastly, any kind of camping facility is not available at this land.
