Okanogan, 8,694 Acres of Public Hunting Land for Duck, Exotics – Okanogan, Washington

The largest continuous hunting tract in Washington is 8,694 acres, located about 10 miles northwest of omak and 4 miles southeast of conconully. It’s chiefly shrub steppe, with some conifer forest and riparian habitat, and 80 acres maintained in agriculture (sharecrop fields). Hunters can enjoy hunting deer and waterfowl at this land. Over 100,000 bushes and shrubs have also been planted in Scotch creek unit in wet draws, north slopes, and beneath irrigation to supply imperative winter habitat for sharp-tailed grouse. This unit is a major hunting location and for fishing in the summer time and deer hunting in the fall. Large graveled parking is available for the hunters journeying this land. No restrooms are available.
