The land covers 7,020 acres of premium bottomland hardwoods. This land makes Arkansas a leader in managing wetlands wildlife habitat. This wildlife management offers hunting opportunities for small and large games. Hunting options include deer, waterfowl, squirrel, turkey, rabbit, and quail. The Beryl Anthony Lower Ouachita WMA can be accessed by two roads on the Union County side of the management area. There are two campsites available on the west side of the river for primitive camping. Airboats are not allowed within the region except Ouachita River in duck season.
