info

Whether you are interested in large or small game, migratory birds, turkey or exotics such as ram, red stag or fallow deer, Missouri can offer some of the best hunting experiences available. The Missouri Department of Conservation has been diligent in working with biologists and hunters to set seasons and limits that have brought back many species from low numbers and has subsequently helped allow whitetail bucks a chance to mature into trophies.

Every area of the state has farms that offer Missouri hunting leases. Some offer hunts for elk, ram, red stag, fallow deer, wild hogs and even buffalo in addition to the more common duck, turkey or whitetail. Missouri hunts can be a single day trip to shoot a few birds or a whole week or more of bagging several different species.

Missouri has thousands of acres of public lands that are available for Missouri hunts as well as outfitters who would be happy to help you bag that trophy or just enjoy a few days in the field doing what you love; hunting. But, with 93 percent of the land currently being privately owned with increasing numbers of landowners realizing the value of offering Missouri hunting leases to increase the profitability of their farms, a Missouri hunting lease may be your answer.

If you do not reside in Missouri, a nonresident Missouri hunting license must be obtained. Everyone born on or before Jan. 1, 1967, must also have completed a hunter safety course or obtain an Apprentice Hunter Authorization. Everyone who hunts in Missouri must have an appropriate Missouri hunting license and the appropriate special tag if one is required for that season. Missouri hunting licenses need to be obtained from the Missouri Department of Conservation and can be purchased online or at many local retailers.
When planning your next hunt, consider a Missouri hunt to visit one of the many farms or outfitters who offer Missouri hunting leases. Missouri’s terrain is varied, from the northern Till planes to Ozark hills with two major rivers and many streams, all of which make for a rich and varied habitat well suited to many species of wildlife.
